Download Windows 10 Official 4K Wallpaper
Many of us are busy in testing the new features and improvements present in Windows 10 operating system such as new Start Menu, return of Windows 7 style Aero glass transparency with blur effect, modern (metro) apps running in windowed mode on Desktop, virtual (multiple) desktops, notification center, continuum (tablet mode), Cortana, Edge (Spartan) web browser and many GUI changes.
Apart from UI changes and new features, Windows 10 also comes with support for new modern technologies and one such technology is “Ultra High Definition” (Ultra HD) also known as 4K and it seems Microsoft has already started working on this technology support and the proof is addition of a new 4K wallpaper in Windows 10.
Recently I found that the latest Windows 10 build comes with an extra wallpaper “img0-4K.jpg” present in following folder:

C:\Windows\Web\4K\Wallpaper\Windows
As the name suggests, the wallpaper present inside this folder is a 4K Ultra HD wallpaper. Its dimensions are 2560×1600 pixels and size is 2.07 MB.
By look, this 4K wallpaper is similar to the default Windows 10 wallpaper “img0.jpg” which is present in “C:\Windows\Web\Wallpaper\Windows” folder. The main difference between both the wallpapers is resolution.

3840×2160 is 4k. If it’s in the 4k folder I guess they’re later going to replace it with an higher resolution image.
Anyways, you should add this to the “[Review] What’s New in Windows 10…?” article. The addition to a separate 4K wallpaper may hint that MS is working hard to improve 4K scaling for Windows 10 and beyond.
