Revealing 3 Hidden Secret Modes in Google Android Mobile Phones

Recently we posted about various hidden secret codes for Google Android mobile phones which can be used to access service menus, enable/disable secret phone settings and to show various interesting and useful information.

Today in this topic, we’ll reveal 3 hidden modes in the phone which are:

  • Fast Boot mode
  • Download mode
  • Recovery mode

Fast Boot Mode

This mode is used to flash the phone firmware (installing software) using command line tools. To access this mode:

  • Power off your phone.
  • Press and hold OK/Home and End Call/Power keys.
  • Or press and hold Volume Up, Volume Down and End Call/Power keys.

Download Mode

This mode is also used to flash the phone firmware. Mostly this mode is used by GUI tools for easier and quicker flashing. To access this mode:

  • Power off your phone.
  • Press and hold Volume Down, OK/Home and End Call/Power keys.

Recovery Mode

This mode is used for recovery purposes like to factory reset the phone firmware. To access this mode:

  • Power off your phone.
  • Press and hold Volume Up, OK/Home and End Call/Power keys.

Once the alert triangle is shown on screen, press “Menu” key to reset the firmware or press “OK/Home” and “End Call/Power” keys to show recovery menu.
