I can't open .rmvb (real media) files in VLC ... is there any way to watch this file in VLC ?

Some formats may give problems in VLC. Best way is install "K-Lite codec Pack" and enjoy every format in WMP or Media Player Classic. You can find it in "Media Players" section.
