  • hey i already have tuneup utilities installed in my computer..so it would be better if u give icon packages which are readable by tuneup styler...

  • I ended up solving the problem I posted about. If anyone else has this problem, what you need to do is create a new zip archive. Add the files "VistaVG.icl" and "VistaVG.iconpackage" to the archive, and then rename the archive to "VistaVG.ip". Double click it and it opens up in IconPackager, no probs.

  • Neither icon tweaker nor icon packager wont open th files rom the icon package.... what do i do noe VG?

  • isn't there an icon package which don't require any icon packager??

  • thank you so much!
    :)

  • Hey Vishal!

Hate to be a pest again, but for those of us who use dial-up, or who want IconPackager on a comptuer without an internet connection, there's a CNET Download.com program called Icon Phile that can do this step by step. less than 1 MB if I'm right, and offline and delayed installs are fine, freeware!

  • VG

^^ Does this program support icon packager files?

  • Yeah, well it doesn't actually automate anything...

What I did was name it (mynamewhichimnottyping).dll into the system32 folder, and keep picking icons out of it.

The only issue is that I have to keep typing "(name).dll" into the dialog box and manually determining what icons are what (like jpeg, gif and friends).

And best of all, this thing seems to be able to chop off 100s of mb off my user profile (harmless but effective.). Before, it was 700 something mb, now it's only 461 mb.

Really effective, I can save my Icon Phile themes and distribute with Icon Phile to my other systems! I recommend it!

  • Oh yeah, it can change drive icons, folder, etc. too.

  • Guys, for the email, if you want to replace the image just go to icon and cursers after you applied VG's icons then go to icons and curser tab. Then go to start menu and click on email then change this icon... at the side. Then go to the place where you installed your program, and then click on the icon of the application and then press apply changes.

    THERE YOU GO
