VistaVG Icon Pack for Windows XP



Here is an Icon Pack for Windows XP, which will change XP default icons with Windows Vista icons. So you'll experience the high-resolution Vista icons in XP.

How To Use:

1. Download the RAR file and then extract it.
2. You'll get a folder containing the icon pack files.
3. Download "Stardock Icon Packager" from following link:

4. Now open the "VistaVG.iconpackage" file in the installed software and apply it.

  • Umm....You have used FF icon for Internet and Windows Mail icon for E-mail in start menu.Not everyone uses FF and Hotmail.I use Opera and Thunderbird. :neutral:

  • i have a problem while using xp. after 20-30 minutes my monitor starts blinking for 2 or 3 minutes. some times after this monitor will look like off then i have to restart.this also happens when i use internet .is this because of virus or some other problem

    ^^ Sorry but the file is absolutely fine. I have tried it many times and it always downloaded properly. Even no other person faced any problem.

    I think there is some problem in your Download Manager. Which download manager are you using? May be its causing this problem.

    I have one more question I would like to pick your brains about. :smile:

    After I apply the theme (any Vista-ize theme for that matter), the desktop icons still have their XP characteristics. By this I mean that the background color of the Icon label carries over to be the "Desktop -> Color" setting from the Display Properties. I like the look of Vista where the Icon labels appear just as text on top of the Wallpaper, instead of XP's style of placing the label text on top of a "Desktop color".

    Any ideas on how I can change this to make the Vista-ized XP desktop icons (and their labels) look like that of Vista?
