After getting a lot of demand of a blue version of my recently released theme "VistaVG", I'm glad to announce the release of "VistaVG Blue Refresh" theme.

Download Link:
You can download the theme using following link:
Make Windows XP look-like Windows Vista
There are 2 versions in this theme as usual:
- Blue32 (for 32x icon size)
- Blue48 (for 48x icon size)
How to Install and Use:
1. Download the file and extract its content. You'll get a folder "VistaVG Blue Refresh Theme by Vishal Gupta".
2. In this folder, you'll get 2 more folders:
- Fonts (This folder contains Segoe UI fonts required for the theme. Copy them to "%windir%\Fonts" folder.)
- Theme (This folder contains the main theme.)
3. Download and run UXTheme patcher using following topic:
How to Install & Use Themes in Windows?
4. Copy all contents in "Theme" folder to "%windir%\Resources\Themes\" folder and apply the theme using Desktop Properties.
NOTE: In the above step, %windir% means C:\Windows\ folder. We assume that Windows is installed in C: drive in your system. If you installed Windows in some other drive, replace C: with the appropriate drive letter.

That was awesome!
Initially I ran into problems, but after patching the uxtheme.dll file with the Multipatcher everything went well. But before that, I had to rename the i386 folder in C:\WINDOWS since the Multipatcher could not patch if that folder is present. After that, the folder returned with its original name when I restarted Windows. I have Windows XP with sp3.
Thanks dude :)

ive been wanting my laptop to have vista but everyone says it so slow and a waste but i think windows xp looks so stupid! so i finaly found a windows xp theme! and i downloaded it and i got the folders... i copied the theme folder into what it told me and then i opened the fonts file (where all the fonts on my computer are) and each font has its own little paper icon and it has the name of the font....so anyway i go back to the vistaVG folder that opened when i downloaded it and copied the fonts folder no problem... but when i right clicked in the fonts folder, the paste button was shaded and it wont let me paste the file...what do i do?
VG
Click on "File-> Install New Fonts" and then browse to the folder containing fonts. You can also drag-n-drop fonts in "Fonts" folder.

^^ Have you run UXTheme Patcher?
opie
well i was looking at the first version of this theme and i downloaded it on that page so it told me i had to patch it or something and i did and then my laptop had the old windows grey crapy look on it haha but all my themes were gone so i cancled everything that was happening and i restarted my lapotp and everything was back to normal :/ so im kind of afriad to do it again cuz i have no idea what its saying on all those pop ups when its asking me yes or no

^^ There are 2 UXTheme Patcher versions: 1 for XP SP2 and the other for XP SP3. So first make sure you use the correct versions mentioned in the above topic.
Then run it in Safe mode and restart your system in normal mode. If Windows shows any dialog box saying it needs setup CD to restore file, click on No or ignore button (which ever is present) and that's it.
Now you can copy the theme to Themes folder and apply it.

^^ Of course its legal and completely safe to use.
