This new theme is a black version of my recently released theme "VistaVG". Its also a Windows XP port of my "Vista Black Theme for Vista".

Download Link:
You can download the theme using following link:
Make Windows XP look-like Windows Vista
How to Install and Use:
1. Once you download the file, extract it. You'll get a folder.
2. In this folder, you'll get 2 more folders:
- Fonts (This folder contains Segoe UI fonts required for the theme. Copy them to "%windir%\Fonts" folder.)
- Theme (This folder contains the main theme.)
3. Download and run UXTheme patcher using following topic:
How to Install & Use Themes in Windows?
4. Copy all contents in "Theme" folder to "%windir%\Resources\Themes\" folder and apply the theme using Desktop Properties.
NOTE: In the above step, %windir% means C:\Windows\ folder. We assume that Windows is installed in C: drive in your system. If you installed Windows in some other drive, replace C: with the appropriate drive letter.

MY COMPUTER HAS BEEN TURNED INTO A WINDOWS CLASSIC! HELP PLZ QUICK!!!!!!!
VG
^^ Have you run UXTheme Patcher?
doc
Hey, thanks alot for your black theme!
I was just looking into the process of creating a theme myself and stumbled upon yours.
This was pretty much exactly what I had in mind so i gave it a try. At 1st I was having an issue with icons appearing partially next to "my documents", etc in the start menu. I flipped the appearance from 32 to 48 and voila! Perfect!
I do have one question though. My system tray icons are stacked into two rows (two lines of them running horizontal). Is there any way to put them back into a single horizontal row?
Anyway good work!
VG
^^ I think you have increased Taskbar height. Decrease it and set it to normal by unlocking it.
VG
^^ Thats really strange. I have no idea why the icons are showing in 2 rows in your system. May be you changed some "Appearance" settings in Desktop Properties?
doc
aha yes indeed, that was what was causing it. i use font size: extra large fonts. when i switched it back to fs: normal the tray was normal again.
at same time that i apply theme i had changed that option, but it hadn't dawned on me that it made the taskbar big enough to cause 2 rows of tray icons.
odd thing is i always used extra large fonts and with the other themes the tray doesn't do that. o well, who cares lol.
well i'll deal with the change its not that it bothers me. it just had me curious.
thanx for the help tho ^^
VG
^^ Glad to know it fixed your problem. :)

I tried to use this, but all it does is make it classic with black window frames, I'm not sure how to get it to work
VG
^^ Run UXTheme Patcher before applying the theme.
