VistaVG Black Theme for Windows XP



If you are facing menu cut-off problem in Start menu, then take a look at this link.

Its a Windows XP port of "Vista Black Theme for Vista".

HOW TO USE:

1. In the downloaded pack, you'll get 2 folders:

=> Fonts (This folder contains Segoe UI fonts required for the theme. Copy them to "%windir%\Fonts" folder.)

=> Theme (This folder contains the main theme.)

2. Copy all contents in "Theme" folder to "%windir%\Resources\Themes\" folder.

3. Now you can set the theme using Desktop Properties.

4. Also make sure you have patched the "uxtheme.dll" file to allow 3rd party visual styles, if its not patched, then download and run the UXtheme Patcher from here:

  • I really like vista black theme and want to use it too but after i download and extracted the .rar file was corrupted. could you please send me the good one that I can extract it without problem? this my first time to use theme, could you please show me step by step on how to use this theme??? :idea:

    The file is fine. Use WinRAR or 7-zip to extract it.

  • it's work now but for the patch file still corrupted when i extracted.
    why my Recycle Bin icon on desktop doesn't change like yours? it still in windows xp icon?

    Please follow "Transform XP into Vista" tutorial in "Windows XP" section to change icons.

    It can be included in XP CD. You'll need nLite for it.

    @PRASAD
    Install WinRAR or 7-zip and then you'll be able to open the file.
