HOW TO USE:

1. In the downloaded pack, you'll get 2 folders:

=> Fonts (This folder contains Segoe UI fonts required for the theme. Copy them to "%windir%\Fonts" folder.)

=> Theme (This folder contains the main theme.)

2. Copy all contents in "Theme" folder to "%windir%\Resources\Themes\" folder.

3. Now you can set the theme using Desktop Properties.

4. Also make sure you have patched the "uxtheme.dll" file to allow 3rd party visual styles, if its not patched, then download and run the UXtheme Patcher from here:

    ^^ Open regedit and goto:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer

If you find a DWORD value "NoTrayItemsDisplay", delete it and restart your system.

^^ Did you modified Shell32.dll in Resource Hacker? If yes, restore default shell32.dll file and it'll fix the problem.

  • VG,

Awesome work on your visual styles and themes, I must say, you do some excellent work, and you cater to a wide variety of tastes! I had been interested in customization for a long time, but due to life and where it led me, I lost interest in most of this kind of stuff. I was a big fan of Litestep back in the day, I really loved my old setup....

But since I'm a little unpracticed, I picked up this simple theme and I LOVE IT! I'm very satisfied.

One thing that I was curious to see if you could come up with a fix though is the LANGUAGE BAR on the taskbar. I switch between Spanish and English a lot and I like to have it there on the taskbar next to the system tray....Would it be possible to alter its appearane? Perhaps making the gray highlight disappear and have its background be a fade like the color fade of the taskbar? If so that would be ultra groovy...

I don't know if that's possible, but if you could devise a workaround, that would be fantastic.

    All the same, great work!

Reference this paint .jpeg for what i mean!
