But this method no longer works in Windows Vista and 7. So today we are going to share a small utility which allows you to set any wallpaper as background image in folders in Windows Vista and 7.

Thanks to Andreas for creating "Vista Folder Background". It integrates itself in Explorer and adds a new tab "Folder Background" in Folder Customization dialog box.

could you believe i had unselected display folder background in my performance advanced settings menu

i think i have that cause i don't see any background...can u please tell me what u did after...how do i acces ,,my performance advance menu otpition? pls...many anticipated thanks

^^ Type sysdm.cpl in RUN or Startmenu Searchbox and press enter.

thanks VG for the prompt answer ...i did manage to thick everything there but didn't solve my problem...i still cant see any background in any of my folders...i'm starting to be desperate now...i did install all the req....and the installed the software whit no errors...if i go on folder option my selected background is there.......but i still cant see it in explorer will navigating thru my pc ...:(

i must say, ur tweak didn't work. i've 32 bit version of vista home basic.m still nt able 2 customize folder backgrnd

i think u might have tried this utility on pirated vista..
on genuine ,it doesn't work at all

Thank you VG, It works fine. One thing, how can I make the picture extend [right now I can only have it as TILE]. Also, I can only have it work when I'm loged-in as the administrator...Any ideas? AGAIN THANK YOU MUCH!
