After getting a lot of demand for a Basic version of my theme “Vista Blue for Vista“, I’m proud to announce my new theme “Vista Blue RTM“. Its a revised version of “Vista Blue for Vista“. So now Windows Vista Basic users can also enjoy this theme.
ABOUT:
I have created this theme for “Windows Vista Basic” users who can’t use “Aero” in their systems and are forced to use the Vista Basic theme. It also contains a version for Aero which is same as “Vista Blue for Vista“.
HOW TO USE:
1. Windows Vista without SP1 users can download and install VistaGlazz to use 3rd party themes:
Installer || Standalone || Website
If you have installed SP1, then don’t use VistaGlazz as its not compatible with SP1. I’ll advise you to use Tuneup Utilities and apply the theme using Tuneup Styler:

2. Extract the content of RAR file to:
%windir%\Resources\Themes\
3. Now right-click on Desktop and select “Personalize” and then click on “Theme“. Now select “Vista Blue RTM by Vishal Gupta” from the drop-down box and then apply it.
NOTE FOR VISTA AERO USERS:
It’ll apply the Aero theme by default. If you want to use the “basic” version which I made specially, then change it from:
[Windows Color and Appearance -> Open classic appearance properties for more color options]
And select the Basic version from the list and then apply.

Siddharth - default wp smileys were only replaced by aqua smileys. Plugin used to display smileys in comment box is Wp-Grin by http://alexking.org/projects/wordpress
And plugin to show myavatars is http://www.napolux.com/2006/12/14/myavatars-a-wordpress-plugin-for-mybloglog/

MyBlogLog is much better and also it helps you in networking with other bloggers. Gravatar is losing popularity. BTW that plugin I mentioned supports both MyAvatars and Gravatar.

^^ If you are using Vista with SP1, then use Tuneup Utilities to apply the theme, other wise patch your system with VistaGlazz to use the theme.

i did install VistaGlazz, but i got that result.
well, i started facing this problem since i installed WindowBlinds few month ago. It didn’t work out, so i decided to remove it. After i got rid of it, it took my vista theme with it! so, now after every rebbot, i have to manually select the Vista Basic theme, otherwise the theme stays Windows Standard all the way long. Any help?
