UPDATE: The developer has removed the application. We'll post an update as soon as he puts it back to download.

As you know Windows 7 contains a revamped Wordpad which features Ribbon UI. It makes the simple wordpad a bit special and also adds new functionality to this basic application.

Recently we blogged about "Notepad 2008" which was developed by our friend "Solo-Dev" aka "Villain". It was removed later because some people uploaded it on their own servers without providing any credit to the original developer.

Now he has updated the application with a new name "Wordpad 2009" which is available for download at following link:

Download Wordpad 2009

More Info

Its a portable application. Download the ZIP file, extract it and run the EXE file.

The UI and features have been updated and now it completely looks like Windows 7 wordpad:

Remember that its an RC1 version and there will be lots of updates in future which we'll continue to share with you all.

PS: If you face any problem while running it, then make sure you have installed Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5.
