Recently we blogged about a method found by "killermole23" @ DA which can bring transparency in Windows Vista Home Basic edition. After reading that method, lots of people requested us to release a modified version of our "AeroVG" theme so that they can enjoy it with transparency in Vista Home Basic.
Now we are very pleased to announce that we have modified the theme and released it at DA.

Interested users can re-download it and enjoy it using following link:

I find that the window border of User Account Control promts are still not transparent. Is it supposed to be like this? Or is there something to do?

Okay, I have checked those pages out but I did not notice anything about UAC border transparency. What should I do?

^^ Set "User Account Control: Switch to the secure desktop when prompting for elevation" to Disabled.

But does'nt that reduce security? I would not want to compromise security for trasparency!
But thanks anyway.
