Although we can uninstall the existing anti-virus using Windows "Add/Remove Programs" (or Programs and Features) applet but its not a perfect solution as sometimes it doesn't remove the program completely which can interfere with the newly installed anti-virus program.

^^ When we uninstall a program, Windows removes its files from "Program Files" folder, "Common Files" folder (If present), "Windows" folder, "Application Data" folder (If present). It also removes its entries from registry. Manually uninstalling a program is very hard as you can't find all locations where a particular software stored its files.

  • yes i know it's very hard to find some directories

because sometimes programs uses id strings that doesnt include

    their name, ryt?

one thing bothers me. how can i use the full compatibility

    of search in windows 7

how can i put options and parameters like in xp

i can include system files and hidden folders.

how can i do the same in windows 7.

and when i search in D:

how can i include all subdirectories in D: drive. ^^

thx. just not getting used to windows 7 search.

  • i know some settings are included in folder and search opts.

but somehow it tooks longer for me than me searching in xp

and sometimes it doesnt gets anything.

^^ Windows 7 is very much different from XP. So you can't get each and every function of XP search in 7. But I'm sure, the more you use Windows 7 Search, the more you like it.
