Windows 7 comes with 3 new and useful features: Aero Snap, Aero Shake and Aero Peek.
"Aero Snap" feature lets you minimize, maximize or resize programs windows by dragging-n-dropping them to the screen corners e.g. you can maximize a window by dragging-n-dropping it to the top of screen.
"Aero Shake" feature lets you minimize all running windows except the one which you are currently working on using a simple mouse shake.
"Aero Peek" feature has replaced the old "Show Desktop" button. It can be found as a small rectangle present at the end of Windows 7 taskbar. When you hover the mouse cursor over it, it allows you to peek behind all open windows by hiding all windows and showing only outlines of all windows.

some of them also works on Win 7 Basic, wich does not come with Snap and Shake.
I'm using AeroSnap for more than 1 year on Win 7 Basic and works great, also with my 2 monitors.

I changed now for the AquaSnap.
Much more options and featues, also uses only 1 MB of RAM (against 13 MB of AeroSnap)

Basic doesn't have it? Starter has it, which is lower than Basic. Are you sure it doesn't have it?

You don't need Windows 7 to enjoy it's features in earlier Windows OS versions! :P
I personally like AquaSnap the best. All it needs is the AeroPeek feature and it's the perfect 3-in-1 3rd party Aero experience (AeroSnap, AeroShake, and AeroPeek).
