I found a cool tool on the Internet
it's called UAC Controller Tool v1.0.

It's freeware. But works only for Windows 7.
The tool is awesome; it allows you to easily control

UAC from the tray area. You just right-click the icon and choose one option
for UAC. The tool as I said before is free. I found it through Microsoft Answers
Forum.

Cheers,
Erik

Is it possible to run this utility with command switches?

Intuit Online Payroll requires UAC to be disabled to export data down into my Quicken program.

It would be nice to set this utility to turn off UAC on paydays and restore UAC after I'm done. I could then use task scheduler to automate the UAC on and off changes. Manaul reboots are OK to deal with.

This is great. There are some bugs with Windows 7 UAC right now where some applications are disabling the User's ability to change settings with the slider in the UI. I am experiencing this bug, but this program overrides it completely. Thanks!

Great little tool... but why is it trying to access the internet? I blocked it with my firewall, and it works well, though.

^^ You can use following app:

http://www.askvg.com/windows-vista-shortcut-overlay-arrow-remover-aka-fxvisor/

I'm not suggesting the registry trick because it has side affects in Vista. If we apply the registry trick to remove shortcut arrow, it also empties the favorite area list in Explorer:

^^ I'm sorry mate about your system crash but this app has been tested on various systems before release and we never faced any problem. As you can see it worked fine in your other system. :)
