OK fixed it.

Security update KB925902 was causing the problem.

You can remove this update by opening the Add/Remove Programs control panel applet, ticking Show Updates and selecting / uninstalling the update after the list loads.

Hello,

After replacing the AVIs, windows calculator will not work.

I get the following message and none of the windows hotfixes seem to correct this:

The system DLL user32.dll was relocated in memory. The application will not run properly. The relocation occurred because the DLL C:\WINDOWS\system32\SHELL32.dll occupied an address range reserved for Windows system DLLs. The vendor supplying the DLL should be contacted for a new DLL.

Other applications, that I'm not aware of, might also be affected, as it says in the Microsoft knowledge base, this kind of error can cause several programs not to work correctly.

Any ideas how to fix this while keeping the vista AVIs in shell32.dll at the same time?

P.S. I can't be expected to check the comments section here all the time so please send me an email when you reply.

Hello sir, I was wondering, I can't get the QTaddress bar to work. I have .NET framework 2.0, the program installs itself and tells me to log off to see changes, but even after I do so I don't see any change.

Vishal, great work :) It took me a couple of attempts to get the shutdown and progress bar to work, but I finally got it when I used the WPF program.

My question is now that I have everything working fine can I uninstall the programs that were used in adding some of the functions (e.g. Stardock, Tuneup Utilities & Logon Studio)? If I uninstall will any of the components added in this tutorial stop working?
