i have a problem the close button on every single window or program is greyed and i cant close them unless i ctrl supr... don't know why its not working i got vista premium sp1 ty

It's not a bug. See, the close button is designed as a layered object, thus disabling all layered objects below it. If you right click anywhere on the title bar of a program, you should get the system context menu. If you left click the program icon in the title bar of a program the system context menu appears, unless defined otherwise. If you right click any element of the title bar, with the exception of the close button, the system context menu appears.

This is no bug. It's exactly how the system is meant to work. If you don't understand a design feature, one may say that the designer failed to communicate it, but the fact of not understanding does not make the feature a bug.

Just like you pointed, it only displays a context menu on minimize/restore buttons.
This doesn't happen for the close button ( X ).
Same behaviour exactly in XP (SP2)

is the screenshot really vista or longhorn (or any vista theme)
