Here is another awesome tool created by our friend "Solo-Dev" @ DA. "Taskbar Texturizer" is a small tool which can add various textures to your Windows Taskbar to make it more stylish.

Its portable, so you don't need to install it. It can also be set to run at windows start up, along with auto-applying the last skin that was chosen.
The start menu also becomes transparent with the slider.
It comes with 10+ textures to choose from. It works in Windows XP, Vista and 7.
You can download it using following link:

^^ You can disable it by opening Registry Editor and going to following key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop
In right-side pane, delete "PaintDesktopVersion" or set its value to 0
PoorlyNoobAgain
Hi VG thanks for answer me,
I tried with
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\"PaintDesktopVersion"
I set the value to 0 and Turn off (not restart) and still not working.
I also change HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\Desktop\"PaintDesktopVersion"
I set the value to 0 Turn off and still not working.
I deleted the Reg HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\"PaintDesktopVersion"
Turn off again and still not working.
I deleted the Reg HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\Desktop\"PaintDesktopVersion"

I downloaded a program that does this function for you, called "Tweak UI" you can select the option or not "Show Windows Version on desktop" but still not working.
I google about it and i read about this file that has some user dialog User32.dll i tried editing with the resource hacker but I read nothing about the version of windows inside the file.
I read on the Internet that can not be changed if your Windows It's not original or it's the trial version, my version it's original i have the CD i just downloaded the Service Pack 3 from the Microsft page so i think this it's not the problem.
I found a temporary solution, Right click on the desktop>Properties>desktop>Customize desktop...>Web and click "Lock desktop items", This works but the icons on the desktop have a colored border and i can change the color of the borders but look kinda ugly if i change the icons to 48x48 pixel look better but still ugly for me, i can't change more for now, i don't think i would change this for the reg method because i see the watermark like 5 seconds before the logon screen appears and before Windows load the 90% of the archives i'm not expert but i think i need delete or edit a file in the Windows folder but, how can i know wich is? so if you know another way or where is the file with this text i estimate it to tell me
lol
Note: That happened to me after i install the Service Pack 3, and Before the bootscreen appears i see a list of many files loading by the system but it's very fast like 1.3 seconds so it's hard to see,and after the bootscreen loaded i see a blue screen what say "searching in C:\ the C:\ it's clean Starting Windows" and just here is when i see the watermark of the version lol like 4 seconds before the logon screen appears i don't know if any of those things has anything to do with the watermark but is the newest visual changes when turn on my computer after i install the Service Pack 3,i have the 32bit version, sorry for my English and if was hard to understand.
VG
^^ It seems you have installed a beta or rc version of SP3. Its not the final version. All beta versions shows that watermark on Desktop. I advise you to download and install the final version of SP3.
