Although Windows 7 M3 build already contained a new boot screen which shows "Starting Windows..." text along with a glassy progressbar in the middle, the latest build "6954" is reported to have a brand new boot screen.
The latest Windows 7 build "6954" contains a new boot screen which shows animated items/balls that come together to form Windows logo.

Its not clear whether the same boot screen will be present in the RTM version or not. Also there are speculations that this new boot screen was also present in the previous Windows 7 builds but Microsoft kept it hidden just like they did with the taskbar.
One more interesting news is coming that Microsoft is planning to allow OEMs to have their own customized boot screens in Windows 7 which was not possible in Windows Vista.
At the moment we can only wait for the next build...

Damn...I cant see blue progress bar bootscreen in 6801. I see bootscreen from vista. Help me please! I want new bootscreen!
VG
^^ A few leaked builds available on pirated websites don't have the new boot screen. If you downloaded it from TechNet/MSDN or you got it from PDC, then it would have the new boot screen.

^^ Its not possible to have animated boot screen in XP. The animation AVIs are stored in Shell32.dll file but those AVIs are encrypted and there is no way to decrypt them. You can browse at DeviantART for those AVIs. Some people have created similar looking AVIs.

hummm... i thought i could extract these AVI's of the 7's shell32.dll, but when I tried to find them, they were not "normal", I mean you could not see them as if they were "empty" (only the color of the background - pink, I think - and nothing else).
I was wondering if you have any other .dll in the 7's system32 folder that have these avi's ...
thanks for the patience ^^
