Today we are sharing an excellent tool which allows you to create your own custom Start ORBs (Start button) for Windows 7 and also allows you to apply them. You can also select from lots of bundled Start ORBs and replace Windows 7 default Start ORB with any of them.
"StartOrbz" is a free portable utility created by "Blizo" @ DA which can create and apply your custom Start ORBs in Windows 7. You just need to select any image which you want to set as Start ORB and then you can add Shadow, Glow and many other effects for normal, hover and pressed events.

It also allows you to categorize ORBs for easier management.
You can download it using following link:

thats really a cool program! but is there a start menu changer for vista...

This tool works wonderfully well! But, as with the start orb changer over at Windows, likewise with this one, there is a problem for me: while the first and second images look fine (idle and hover), the third (pressed) image never appears; when pressed, it just maintains the hover image. This is on Windows 7 Professional 64-bit SP1. Could someone kindly point me to a solution (or at least to a good place to ask the question!)?

^^ I'm not sure but when I tried this tool, it worked fine for me. You can manually try to replace the PNG file in Explorer.exe file using Resource Hacker.

VG thanks for your comments. I don't think the problem is with the utility itself, but was hoping that someone else had seen this problem and could point to a solution.
