Bought a new computer recently, so decided to experiment with a few different browsers given that I'd spend a good portion of my computer usage doing research on the internet. MS seem to have made a few notable improvements to IE8 it certainly looks flashier, but It still tended to hang way to often. Slowdowns for no apparent reason were also unfortunately very common. Tried Chrome from Google, gotta love those guys and they have made a real attempt at a nice useable secure browser with a decent interface. However I think that it will take a bit more development before it becomes what I'd call an A-list competitor. With Firefox, speed was great and didn't get any hangs. As default it wasn't as feature rich as I'd hoped, but the amount of add-ons was outstanding and didn't take any effort at all. Other browsers may suit other people with different needs but I was very pleased with it so have stuck with FF.

ie8 beta2 is
 more secure,
 has more features,
 easy to use,
 high speed ,
is more better than firefox in visual appearence
 has worst downloader,
(download free download manager and use)
 disturbs us more by prompting,
as it is beta release some time it strucks(like changing settings)

Why we want to advertise IE or fire fox they will do that.

Although IE8 is quite fast and reliable,I am thinking why Microsoft isn't bringing the pause feature during file downloads. From the security's point of view its perhaps the best.
I have Installed IE8 beta 2 and from some day's I am getting a problem.the IE stops responding whenever I logout of my net connection server(home page),it says the Data Execution Prevention has blocked the program.what's that it wasn,t happening some days ago.Is there a incompatiblity issue?

IE8 is just great

Is micrsofot getting scared? probably they thought that they could manage without these campaigns in the war against firefox and now you have google's very own chrome coming in as another competitior...poor micrsoft had no other choice...it had to fight a giant...but...

well these spread campaigns can work only with open source or community evolved browsers...It is foolish to spread these campaign without involving/giving anything back to the community...involve the community folks or live with your enterprise customers alone...it is as simple as that...do spread shit on your own face with these stinking campaigns...

Is there a section on this site where I can see the improvements of IE when it comes to reading css? One of my main problems when it comes to web designing is IE's unique interpretation of css styles! I hope IE8 has a lot of improvements when it comes to css. So that people who uses IE can say buhbye to quirky IE6 already.

Two ANONYMOUS comments against Firefox! Funny.

Firefox is more customizable than IE. You can make Firefox your own. But can you do it for IE?

If your god is still IE and you like a feature rich browser, I recommend you Maxthon.

lolz
