"SmartUp Menu" is a portable startmenu replacement for Windows XP. If you are bored with default startmenu and want to use a more advanced and customizable startmenu, then "SmartUp Menu" is what you are looking for.
It looks like Vista and 7 startmenu and provides lots of useful shortcuts like Control Panel, My Computer, Shutdown menu, etc at the left top area.

You can access all your installed programs, drives, system folders easily and quickly. So its a complete startmenu replacement.
If you want to add/remove items, right-click on the launcher and select "Edit Mode":

Now you can customize each and every item.
You can download it using following link:

Thank You VG
Bill
Hmm, and me I want the classic menu back in W7.... Weird...

Thanks so much, Vishal!
As you may have noticed from my previous comments, my internet connection's not very quick, so updating my Trend Micro takes a while when I fall behind, and I don't want to stay up next to my computer at night, I'd prefer to schedule it.
Thanks.
Tangmeister
I now know how to. Don't need to tell me. Sorry and thanks.

Hey Vishal,
Sorry for posting three times in a row, but should you write something about Conficker after all the hype is over? Just wondering if you could guide us through the next-generation Y2K.

THis thing is trash! I instlled it on a WinXP machine. Completely unusable. Russian text. I tried for an hour to uninstall it. Nothing in Add/Remove, no uninstall program, nothing!!!
I had to restore frm a previous restore point to get back to work! Avioid this at all costs! If you insist on installing it, be sure you have a backup and a recent restore point...

@Hank Arnold:
Just open Task Manager, go to the Processes tab, and end "SmartUp.exe".
Oh, and VG, this is just another rival to Vista Start Menu!

Hey Vishal,
About the shutdown.exe switches... logging off works perfectly, but shut down takes forever.
I'm running XP Pro SP2.
Also, is there a way I can change this up so that themenus don't open as soon as I hover over them?
TIP: The About... dialog box is great fun. Click the area where the logo is, and have fun for about 30 seconds.

Vishal,
How do I make a shortcut to the XP shutdown MENU? The one with the three buttons? I'd like to have that with me.
VG
^^ Sorry mate but I don't know about it and I think it can't be implemented because it requires some code to launch the dialog box.
