SmartUp Menu: Vista Like Startmenu for Windows XP

"SmartUp Menu" is a portable startmenu replacement for Windows XP. If you are bored with default startmenu and want to use a more advanced and customizable startmenu, then "SmartUp Menu" is what you are looking for.

It looks like Vista and 7 startmenu and provides lots of useful shortcuts like Control Panel, My Computer, Shutdown menu, etc at the left top area.

  • it works weirdly if you have 48x icons.

  • this is a cool piece of application.
i would say this is even better than windows 7 start menu.

    pros:
can directly access my computer, control panel, program files, favourites from start menu itself.
provides transparency (so XP users will love it)
provides search bar in start menu

    cons:
    doesnt search properly.

    shutdown.exe -s -t 0

    Restart:

    shutdown.exe -r -t 0

    Log off:

    shutdown.exe -l
