i have tryed this code + 5 + Vol Up + Power button on my sony kdl-32v4730 model...the tv opens and the sevice menu goes up for about half a sec and then dissapears to normal tv...:|

i was repair 29 lg TV which has the problem of power dropping to secondary side. but after repair it .but it shows the pin cation on screen .so what is the secret code for 29 inch model 29f07rg5.Tl? so that i can sot out this problem?

Dear VG and all advance - gadget power users

I read in some posts in relevance of installation menu ( In-start, in-stop, etc) is to be activated by third-party softwares (+)hardwares; such as: IR remotes (specific brands in the US /and EU), IR enabled smart-phones and such..

Is there any easier route to tweaking installation menu by just using the supplied remote ( with just a smart, hidden codes or procedures)... cos I have tried to no avail, yet to try the rs232 port trick..

cos so far I have been able to enter upgrade menu by pressing 7(7x) whilst highlighting OPTION after hitting menu (home) button on my LG 22LK311 lcd tv

if upgrade is possible... via any possible means
w/o sacrificing original settings (via humble backup on USB stick), or simple factory resets in case of uneventful crash or unsuccessful up/downgrades..

surely there's one just haven't found it yet..
Anyone's been there? please share..

I just need to unlock DivX to HD or HD+, cos I wanna play mkv files which currently isn't allowed in SD realms.. ( I'm stuck w/ it, but I believe it's just a matter of tweaking option, cos the 32" model can play HD)
