  • Anyway, there's a problem that I had not seen before as I'm a Firefox user. When Hide Menu Bar 2 is activated, all is fine with explorer.exe. But if I open IE7 the address bar beetween the arrow blue buttons and the search menu has disappeared. It's not so annoying as a single click to the HMB2 icon in systray restore it immediately, and also because I use only Firefox to browse the web. But this bad interaction beetween the explorer.exe tweaks and the iexplore.exe navbar is strange to me. Still not a problem for me as I've got the same feature through one of my Firefox add-ons, but I've also lost the features and icons like "Page Zoom" in the IE7 status bar (bottom bar). I'm not sure that this problem is related to HMB2 but I've got a doubt.
Finally, even if this tool is not perfect, it does exactly what I needed by a very simple way. Reviews from other users would be helpful to know if problems come from errors in my registry or from this tool. And if you have any idea about this Vishal, suggest anything and I will test it.

Note: I'll maybe test to record the actions of HMB2 on a virtual Machine with InstallRite. Just to know how it works exactly (HMB2 deactivated > 1st system snapshot > HMB2 activated > 2nd snapshot > review of the differences beetween the 2 snapshots). Any better way to see it would be also welcome (hijackthis? any process monitor?). Thanks

  • Mmm... I've just checked "Status Bar" in the view menu then Page Zoom and other status icons are back. How to create a problem from something that is not one, hehe...

Here is a screenshot of the adressbar problem, surely more clear than my explanations (sorry for my english)

  • bah... just install firefox

  • rodrigo, if you would have read all you would have seen that I'm already using Firefox (since the first beta versions a few years ago) so... mmmh... your comment is not useful at all to solve this problem. Happily I've found a programer who's helping me and have a better idea of the problem than just "bah… just install firefox". Thank you anyway, you're surely a computing wiz, lol.

  • sorry about that :(
