But it shows a BIG Flash Ad at bottom which doesnt look good. So here is a patch which can remove the Ads from this new version:
Download Yahoo! Messenger 9.0 Beta Ad Remover
Just download it, copy it to “%ProgramFiles%\Yahoo!\Messenger” and run it.

NOTE: Please use it at your own risk and scan the file with your anti-virus. Someone reported a trojan in the file but mine NOD32 didnt detect any suspicious item.

One thing i noticed is that this removes the ability to sign into your mobile device when exiting yahoo. Bit of a must have for me, hope this gets added back because I love having the ads gone, but its a deal breaker for me to lose mobile sign in.

Moreover it kills the ability to log into the mobile device .. so I guess its a high price to pay for removing ads!

these ads are a source of funds Yahoo! makes to support the network .. a price they deserve for their innovation ..
probably a de-motivating act for young innovators .. and least expected from such a talented guy “you”
you dont want ads, buy a paid version …
Honesty, in todays world is obviously considered a foolish act, but in all sense it is a trait of the great men.
My yahoo looks better with ads!

Also afaik, there is no paid version.

I only use YM cause my friends do, i don’t like it (too overblown and commercial in my opinion). If it weren’t freeware, everybody would use somethin else of course.

^^ The file is absolutely clean. It has been checked with NOD32 anti-virus as well. A few anti-virus might falsely detect trojan horse.
