Panda Cloud Antivirus Free Edition 1.0 Available, Download NOW

If you are looking for a new free antivirus for your system, you should give a try to "Panda Cloud Antivirus" which is absolutely free and light-weighted antivirus.

"Panda Cloud Antivirus" is based on new cloud computing concept in which services are provided over Internet. This new antivirus scans files through Internet which makes it very light on system resources. It also doesn't need regular updating of virus definitions as it automatically updates the virus definitions in the cloud (remote server) and scans your files using those latest virus definitions.

You should have a good speed Internet connection to fully utilize this new cloud based antivirus otherwise it won't work. Don't worry, if you are offline, it'll still protect your system from virus attack as it stores the virus definitions in local cache as well.

  • While I like the cloud computing concept I still think Microsoft's Security Essentials should be used by everyone!..

  • sounds great, will give it a try later

  • awesome! :D thanks VG

  • oh no VG.. but it wants to replace my Microsoft Security Essentials! ):

  • I would stick with Panda instead ^^
even though I like MSEs UI a lot more.

  • Is Microsoft's anti virus compatible with this?

  • Why are my comments never approved? I suggested that people keep MSE although Panda's Cloud Idea is neat..

  • Does this have the features Avast! has- like web shield/ website scanning?

  • Can I use this with Avast at the same time? I don't wanna uninstall my trusty Avast :(

  • Until everyone can have access to high speed internet, I feel like cloud-based apps are not practical. Although all of the high speed unencrypted wireless signals floating around my neighborhood give me access to high speed lol. But at this point, everyone isn't so fortunate. I recommend MSE.... it is the only piece of security software that rode out my Windows 7 upgrade successfully and it has successfully caught intrusions that OnlineArmor's Program Guard did not catch. Good stuff.
