Opera software has released the first beta of its well known web browser Opera 10. Here is a small excerpt from the official announcement:
We have just released the first beta of Opera 10, which promises some great new features and a stunning new look. But what does this mean for web developers? Opera 10 beta includes the Presto 2.2 rendering engine, which features improvements across the board in terms of speed, stability, support for Web standards, and more.
The Opera 10 beta has a 100/100 pass rate on the Acid 3 test! All future desktop builds will have this.

Does this beta runs faster in Windows 7 as most of the beta(mozilla,safari) products run slow in windows 7.

WOW! I think the browser wars just went to a whole notha' level. Absolutely beautiful. Great functionality, and best of all (to me anyway), it has a built-in ad blocker. I was using FireFox mainly due to the great ad blocking, but when you visit a web page in Opera, you just right click, apply the block content feature, and you can select what you want to block. GREAT! It's a lot faster too. I think this will be my main browser for a while.

Just finish installing and trying, its the best! Faster than ever. I try to use opera for some time and this beta version rocks! It is even faster than google chrome and safari! Love the new features too like tabs with screenshot and new and improved speed dial! Try it guys! Thanks again for the post VG!

I've been using Opera 9.6 and Opera 10 Alpha for a while and I must say, Opera 10 Beta has blown me away. Sites are even more functional, speed as increase, in my opinion, and it still is the best browser for me. Opera is and will always be my favorite. Second to none.

tried firefox again and speed changed dramatically. i've become bored surfing. and i just notice in task manage, it uses more memory. Opera 10 FTW!
