"AeroVG" theme is a new theme for Windows Vista users. Your system must be capable to run Aero to use this theme. This theme has been created specially for Aero users but Basic users can also use this theme. They'll get new Details pane (shell style), new progressbar and many other small changes.
Featured List:
- More transparent startmenu and taskbar
- Startmenu has square corners instead of round corners which looks cool
- Only active window taskbar button is visible to make the taskbar more clean and stylish
- Checkbox and radio buttons are Apple leopard styled
- Cool blue progressbar in dialog boxes
- Blue Control Panel sidebar
- Cool dialog box buttons
- Cool Details pane which have different colors for different folders like Video, Pictures, etc

I am not able to save the modified file though I have right clicked on the take ownership option in system32.dll.I have gone through you ownership section but still cannot find a solution.
Can you upload Windows vista default aero theme for vista ultimate SP1.It's was modified after I had replaced it with your aero theme with transparent window in maximized mode

^^ Since you have patched with VistaGlazz. Just copy the "AeroVG" folder to "Windows\Resources\Themes" folder and then apply the theme from Desktop properties.

hi VG, NICE WORK ,
there is a small problem i am facing . I use tune up utilities & started to use this theme after extracting the theme to c:/windows/resources/themes,but now i wanted the DEFAULT AERO THEME BACK, so i right clicked desktop---personalize---theme---windows vista & the theme was changed back to default aero but the issue is here :
Vista has a STREAK OF WHITE LIGHT THAT RUNS ACROSS THE PROGRESS BARS, ( I DONT KNOW WHAT IT IS CALLED ).. FOR SOME REASON THIS IS NOT APPEARING IN THE PROGRESS BARS (everything else is running just fine )
PLEASE TELL ME HOW TO FIX THIS as i really like this effect.

i have a prob. after i applied the theme using the tuneup utility, my taskbar and start menu is not transparent. mine is windows vista basic. any solution? cuz i really2x like this theme.

^^ Vista Home Basic doesnt allow transparency, thats why you are not getting it. But if your hardware is compatible with Aero, then you can use following hack to force Aero:

i already executed the hack that will force aero. but are vista basics really capable to install this theme like the preview you posted? i already did the following:
hack to force aero in vista basic - done
windows vista upgrade adviser to check if basic can run aero - done
applied theme through tuneup utilities - done
downloaded and tried glass2k (frustrating results) - done
im starting to loose hope. this theme is too beautiful to pass.
