"AeroVG" theme is a new theme for Windows Vista users. Your system must be capable to run Aero to use this theme. This theme has been created specially for Aero users but Basic users can also use this theme. They'll get new Details pane (shell style), new progressbar and many other small changes.
Featured List:
- More transparent startmenu and taskbar
- Startmenu has square corners instead of round corners which looks cool
- Only active window taskbar button is visible to make the taskbar more clean and stylish
- Checkbox and radio buttons are Apple leopard styled
- Cool blue progressbar in dialog boxes
- Blue Control Panel sidebar
- Cool dialog box buttons
- Cool Details pane which have different colors for different folders like Video, Pictures, etc
- Transparent addressbar and searchbar in Explorer
- Transparent titlebar and taskbar in maximized windows
- Dark hovered, clicked, selected area in Explorer as well as in menus. Vista default selection bar is very light in color and doesn't look proper sometimes

Hey I just downloaded this awesome theme but it won't work when I choose it under themes. I have windows vista basic how do I know if my system is capable to run Aero engine?

You need to consider following things:
1. Make sure you have patched your system to use 3rd party themes cause Windows doesnt allow them by default. Please read the "HOW TO USE" section in above post.
2. By default Windows Vista Basic doesnt have Aero interface but there is a registry hack to enable it:

3. To know whether your system can support Aero or not, visit following link:

okay got it going but for some reason it only works when my windows are maximized and the start menu isn't transparent like the rest. any suggestions?

Alright, I did that. The theme still only works when windows are maximized. Aswell, when i have no windows open the taskbar turns white. In addition, the start menu still is not transparent. Sorry to be annoying but what do you think the problem is?

Ah i c. It means your system doesnt support Aero. This theme was made only for Aero users but you can try its equivalent theme "Vista Blue" which can be found in following section:

I really like the theme... My ONLY complaint would have to be the start button. With the capabilities of Vista why are we going backwards? If nothing else leave the Orb
