Here is another theme for Windows Vista:
Your system must be capable to run Aero engine to use this theme. I have created this theme specially for Aero users though Basic users can also use this theme and they’ll get new Details pane (shell style), new progressbar, buttons, checkbox, radio buttons and a few other small new changes.
FEATURE LIST:
1. Much transparent startmenu and taskbar.
2. Startmenu has square corners instead of round corners which looks cool.
3. Only active window taskbar button is visible to make the taskbar more clean.
4. Checkbox and radio buttons are Apple leopard styled.
5. Cool blue progressbar in dialog boxes.
6. Blue Control panel sidebar.
7. Cool dialog box buttons.
8. Cool Details pane which have different colors for different folders like Video, Pictures, etc.
9. Transparent addressbar and searchbar.
10. Transparent titlebar and taskbar in maximized windows.
11. Darker hovered, clicked, selected area in Explorer as well as in menus. Vista default selection image is very light and doesnt looks clearly sometimes. So I have tried to make it more darker.
12. New Menubar & Statusbar.
HOW TO USE:
1. Windows Vista without SP1 users can download and install VistaGlazz to use 3rd party themes:
Installer || Standalone || Website
If you have installed SP1, then don’t use VistaGlazz as its not compatible with SP1. I’ll advise you to use Tuneup Utilities and apply the theme using Tuneup Styler:
Read more about Tuneup Utilities
2. Extract the content of RAR file to:
%windir%\Resources\Themes\
3. Now right-click on Desktop and select “Personalize” and then click on “Theme“. Now select “AeroVG by Vishal Gupta” from the drop-down box and then Apply it.
Download AeroVG Theme for Windows Vista
There are many new cool things. I hope you’ll like the theme.

Thanks. You can use “Graphite”, “Blue”, etc colors from Desktop Properties to make Startmenu less transparent.

Awesome!!! Back in my XP days, my favorite theme was a Vishal-written Vista-look msstyle. Here’s another gem; the page retains its Aero glass transparency even when maximized. Two thumbs up for you man.

Hi I have downloaded Vista Glazz and run the two patching options (and restarted).
I have also extracted the theme to C:\Windows\Resources\Themes, but in the dropdown menu for themes on the the default ones appear…

^^ Try Tuneup Utilities. It’ll do the job.
