We have blogged about "FluentNotepad" in past which is a simple Notepad for Windows with Office 2010 look-like ribbon UI. The same developer has created an image viewer for Windows which comes with Metro UI.
"MetroViewer" is a simple image viewer for Windows developed by SalvoG92 @ DA. Its a simple and basic image viewer with a clean and minimal UI.

You can click on the folder icon given in toolbar to open an image or just drag-n-drop the image to the image viewer.
If you want to move the window, just click on anywhere and drag-n-drop it.
To maximize the window, double-click on the titlebar where you see the text MetroViewer.
You can download it using following link:

Great replacement for Windows Live Photo or something!! Great find!! Thanks!!
Archer
Does it play gifs? Because that's one thing the Vista/7 Photo viewer needs. I still can't work out why they were pulled after XP, though.
I personally found FluentNotepad a little unstable. It would occasionally lock up and takes a while to do anything. And I'm pretty damned sure it's not my system that's slowing it down.
Mr Enemy
the only think i hate about this thing is the color scheme and
@Archer for gifs , you could always use internet explorer to make it animated like this
if(stuff after the dot == gif)
then
init ieexplore.exe -- path to the gif as parameter
else
die()
.NET Dude
Works with .NET Framework 4.0
Kyle
