MetroBackUp: Free Utility with Metro UI to Keep Directories in Sync

If you are a Windows 8 Metro UI fan, here is a free tool for you which comes with Metro UI.

"MetroBackUp" is a free utility to keep your directories in sync. Its similar to Microsoft's SyncToy.

It was available since a few years but now the developer has released a new version which comes with Windows 8 style Metro UI:

The tool is very easy to use and does the job efficiently. You can create different jobs to group sync tasks.

Features List:

  • Three different modes:

1. Mirror Reference Directory
2. Mirror Reference Directory (without deleting files)
3. Synchronization in both directions

  • Synchronization can be constricted to certain file extensions.
  • Command line mode suited for schedule tasks.
  • Language of the program: (dependent on the current language of the OS): German, English

  • Hey Vishal – thanks for this tip. MetroBackUp seems like a great tool to use that will get the job done quickly. I personally love the look of Metro and am looking forward to this user interface being available in Windows 8. Have you heard of the site omnimo.co.cc?
