hi VG,
about my last post, do you know something about?
some coment would be apreciated....
thanks
VG
^^ You can use nLite to include your OEM logo in System Properties and to change background of setup, you'll need to edit "WinNTBBU.dll" file in "I386" folder of setup.
icemanzh
hey, thanks a lot!
actually you have to create 2 files, a Bmp called "oemlogo" and a "oeminfo.ini".
create a folder at the cd root like this "$oem$\$$\system32" and then, place them inside, they will be set at the same folder (system32) after install.
if you can not create a working oeminfo.ini, just use the "MagicTweak.exe" on a working install and copy it.
only then you can use the nlite
as for the "WinNTBBU.dll", it would be nice as well if you could say that people should use something like "WinntbbuED.exe" to do that, and by the way explain that "WinNTBBU.dll" does not show up but "WinntbbuED.exe" will open a compressed version that fits for the matter.
if people can use also "Resourcehacker", just add it to your blog....
great work here though...

Hey there!
I need your help: I've changed the start menu text and other dialog boxes with reshack, and they are working fine, but i can't change the windows boot screen. I disabled the file protection and there's no _original file. the %windir%\System32\NToskrnl.exe, when i open it in reshack, it seems to be changed but when i reboot, there is still the old xp logo. I also wonder, can i change that small loading animation below the boot screen?
Thanks
Snez

Hi VG. First this is a great and best Widows tweaking site that I've seen. Great job man ^^ . But i still have 1 question and its much appreciated if you want to help me. Ok, my only problem is i cant get my TaskBar BACKGROUND into transparent. I've hacked my a theme file (mytheme.msstyle) with ResHack, replaced the original bmp file with my own bmp that fully colored light purple (255,0,255) as they did with the Start menu to get its transparency. But, after i save it and load the theme i was very shocked that the TaskBar background isn't get transparent. Its get purple. Then i tried to use a 3rd application (TransBar), its works but its not so good. Cuz the other items such as Tray icons, Start button, and the clock are get transparent too. I wanna get a fully transparent for my taskbar, but if i do it i cant see the Start button and the others. So VG, please help me. I'm sorry for my bad English. Thanks before. Cheers ^^ ..
VG
^^ msstyles don't support transparent Taskbar. You'll need 3rd party software for it.
Yudha
Hm, what is the best software 4 it?
Oh VG, do you know how 2 set the transparency level of png files?
I've used photoshop to reduce its opacity, but i cant save it on png format.
Whats wrong with it? Or can you tell me another way to do it?
Thanks 4 the answer.
Timmy
