Great job VG!! Your tweeks are right on the money. Now I have one for ya. ....... I'm trying ta change the blue background on the "Welcome" (not the log-on) screen that you see on XP's start, and on the shut-down screen to an image. I have used ResHacker to do some of the other mods you have mentioned and they've worked fine........ Thanx. Any ideas on this one? Keep up the great work.

Hi, my first post here and I already need help.
I use Favorites panel (band) in Windows explorer (XP) for folders, something like Finder on Mac.
When you open Favorites band you can see two buttons "Add Favorite" and "Organize Favorites". I want to remove these huge "never use them buttons".
So is this possible? Great site btw!
VG
^^ Are you talking about the Favorite menu and its submenus? A screenshot will definitely help in understanding your query. :)
Torrente
No, no menu items . You can see Favorites panel (or band, sidebar...) when you click on Favorites button which is on "Standard buttons" toolbar, or when you check View - Explorer bar - Favorites
or, the easiest way, when you press CTRL+I in every WE window.
Sorry for my bad explanation in the first post
VG
^^ Ok. I got it now but I'm sorry since I'm on Windows Vista now and it doesnt have the favorite band like XP, so can't help you atm. If I come across any solution for it, then I'll let you know.
Torrente
Thanks man!

Hai VG, I updated the Windows Login Box Bitmap 1033 BMP with my own BMP file of same dimension in Shell32.dll. After a sec the file updated with original one by something. :!: I don't know how to stop this overwriting. It's not showing the File Protection Window too... I tried a couple of times but I can't update the Shell32.dll..
