===================================

Vishal.

A nice site you have brewing up here. Many of your tutorials are in depth and very thorough.
I admit to have stumbled across your great site numerous times. Keep up the great tuts bud.

Now for my "bet you can't" question.

I bet you can't change the actual colour of the system font that XP uses at its default font for some dialog boxes, irregardless whether you use some random theme or VisualStyle.
Basically, the font is called "MS Shell Dlg" and can be found in a few registry keys. Even though you may be able to change the actual font itself, but you can't change the actual font colour.

Have fun trying a mission impossible Vishal.
Till next time.

God Speed.

Hello VG!

I wanted to ask you one thing, that troubles me a lot.
In my WinXPPro SP3 is missing ENERGY STAR bitmap in Display Settings -> Screen Saver -> Monitor Options.

The ENERGY STAR image is in themeui.dll in BITMAP, the Resource name "122".

The Dialog is in the same themeui.dll, in DIALOGS, located in Resource Name "1015".

Can you please tell me how to bring back that logo or even change it to osmething a bit smoother, not 16bit color bmp...

Thanks. I hope you will give a hand at least in this point...

^^ Yup. Replace the file in both "System32" as well as "DLLCache" folder using Replacer.
