Leftsider: Move Windows Titlebar Buttons to Left Just Like MacOS

Many Mac lovers install various themes in their Windows to make it look like Mac but there is one thing which remains unchanged i.e. the titlebar buttons.

Windows shows the titlebar buttons on right whereas Mac shows them on left. Here is a very small utility which can bring the same feature to Windows.

"Leftsider" is a portable small application which moves the titlebar buttons to the left.

You can add its shortcut to "Startup" folder to start it automatically with Windows.

^^ Yep. It doesnt work for a few applications. Nothing can be done.

  • it only works on my explorer files on vista

  • It only works in Explorer wwindows in  VISTA

  • Hi VG Again!

I installed that Macintosh Theme you provided and it came out pretty incredible.
Then I found this title "LeftSider."

Simply it provides the window options to go to the Left like the Apple Macintosh.
So I tried this out, downloaded it, opened it, right clicked on the system tray icon and clicked Apply to left.

I went into the folder that provided me with the Application, and yes, the buttons were to the left.

But for some reason it will not want to play with any .exe programs.

and Yes, this actually is Windows Vista! (Just Modified ;) )

So if you can provide me with some tips, it would be fantastic.

Wow, am I the only one who posted a message as long as this ;)

  • it doesnt work for some applications??? hm from what im seeing it only works on one application explorer -windos xp pro with flyakiteOSX installed p.s. i think il keep my buttons on the right

  • Please find a way to get it in EXE programs!! Wouldnt be the same way as getting it in explorer windows or would we have to apply it to every program individually??

  • Is there something wrong with the download link, because I only see this Japanese page that google translate to "The File cannot be found. You do not have authorization" Maybe its because of the browser im using but idk. Heres the link to prove it: http://error.fc2.com/web/403.html
