Windows Live Movie Maker Beta version is set to expire on June 30, 2009. If you want to continue using it, you'll need to install a small update.
Microsoft has released the update which you can download from following link:
This update will extend the expiration date and you'll be able to use Windows Live Movie Maker Beta until 30 Dec, 2009.
Starting July 1, 2009 when you open Movie Maker beta, you’ll be prompted to install the update. If you decide not to install it, you won’t be able to use the beta until you do. By installing the update early, you can continue to use Movie Maker beta without any interruption.
The final version of Windows Live Movie Maker is expected to be available later this year.

after downloading the installer it just contains other programs. but doesnt have the
wmm beta. does anyone have a copy or a mirror site?
what does actually wmm beta do? is it an online tool? or much better
app than the old one?

^^ It downloads the installer. You'll need to run it and select "Movie Maker Beta" from the list and it'll install it.
