Windows Vista doesn't provide a GUI to modify file types association. Suppose you accidentally associated an application with a file type and now you want to remove that association and want to associate the default application back, there is no option available in Vista by default.
"Unassociate File Types" is a very small utility created by my fellow MVP "Ramesh Srinivasan". It allows you to remove custom file types association. You can also remove any desired file type completely.

Just download the utility from following link, extract it and run the EXE file:
