Method 2 work for me. No need to restart the system. Just disable and enable Quick Launch work. Thanks.

and i'd like to add this

substitute line:

IconFile=C:\Windows\System32\shell32.dll,34

as option for Method1 will get you desktop Icon as in Vista/Win7
