How to Remove Windows 7 RC Watermark (Build Info) from Desktop?

If you have installed recently released Windows 7 RC build, you might have noticed the watermark on Desktop which shows "Windows 7 Evaluation copy. Build 7100".

It looks ugly on some dark wallpapers and irritates lots of Windows 7 users. If you are also among those users and want to get rid of this watermark, then here is something good for you:

"Universal Watermark Remover" is an excellent small and portable utility created by "Orbit30" @ Win7Vista which can remove the ugly watermark from Windows 7 RC Desktop. It can also remove the watermark from Windows Vista and Server 2008 Desktops. It works for both 32 and 64-bit versions of Windows.

Just download it using the above link, run the EXE file and follow the instructions. You'll need to restart your system to take affect.

    Installed windows 7 rc build 7100 in d drive along xp in c,
    Is that the cause of problem?

  • hmm i have it on 2 drives too. i had vista on c, xp on d, and when i installed 7 over xp, it changed it to c drive and vista is now on d.
