If you are using Internet Explorer 7 or 8 and are not familiar with the menubar position which is displayed below the addressbar, this trick is for you.
By following this tutorial, you'll be able to move menubar at top just like previous versions as shown in following screenshot:

1. Type regedit in RUN dialog box and press Enter. Now goto:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar\WebBrowser
2. In right-side pane create a new DWORD value ITBar7Position and set its value to 1
3. That's it. Open Internet Explorer and now you'll see menubar at top.

@GABRIEL: the trick is not about showing/hiding the menu bar, it's about changing its position regarding the address bar.

What was Microsoft thinking? I've been using this tweak for some time now. There is a 3rd party toolbar issue but those toolbars are completely useless and slow down Internet Explorer. Glary Utilities and SpyBHORemover should do the trick for removing those toolbars.

This also can be done with TuneUp Utilities ;)
