I did everything step by step, and now I've got a broken media player and may have to preform a format.

Hi VG, I've followed all these steps, as well as others from other sites, and every time I run the installer, it still tells me a few of the files that "errors have occurred," and asks if I want to Abort, Retry or Ignore. I've tried Retry and they don't go until I click Ignore, then it finishes, but WMP11 did not fully install. I've taken Ownership of everything and I still get these problems. Any help/solution?

It didn't work in regular boot but if you boot in safe mode (for me wireless keyboards don't work very well for this type of application. best to use a keyboard with a ps2 connector on it.) and follow these instructions it will work flawlessly.

Hey,

I just followed the instructions above and for some weird reason it wouldn't downgrade to windows media player 11, but the windows media player task bar is still working for me. All except for the visualizer. Pretty weird, anyone know why?

Hello, I followed your steps however I forgot to do step two, I restarted the computer. The toolbar is their but when I minimise windows media player and try to see in the toolbar is just a blank black screen, I then came back onto this site and saw Id missed out step two. Presumably the reason its not working is because of this so can you tell me how to reverse the changes so I can make them again or if theirs a simple fix thats be great.
