Windows 7 contains new iconized taskbar buttons which only show program icons. Its a new feature in Windows 7 and looks nice. But a few people might find it difficult to use.
So here is a simple step-by-step tutorial to enable the old thin taskbar buttons with text in Windows 7:
1. Right-click on Taskbar and select Properties.
2. You'll see "Taskbar buttons" option will be set to "Always combine, hide labels". Change it to either "Combine when taskbar is full" or "Never combine".
"Combine when taskbar is full" option will group same program buttons in taskbar like Windows XP and Vista. "Never combine" option will disable grouping.
3. Apply it and you'll get the taskbar buttons with program text.
4. If you also want to get the thin taskbar like previous Windows versions, then also enable "Use small icons" option.
5. And now you'll enjoy the same old thin taskbar with program text:

VG i got key & it activates my win 7 but oon desktop still message on right hand saying for testing only!!!!!!!!! Is my copy genuine or expering in some time?
& can bitdefender total security 2008 works in win7, i install it works but cant update???????

As it is in beta stage so this is for testing only .. to check it is activated or not right click on computer and then on properties checked Last line Right side ... It will say activated

It is on all desks registrered or net mine is registrered and i have it but i know that it somehow can be removed

VG live thumbnail have same problem please report when i try to report it asking some studio username password domain etc.
like i writting something with nero when 20% done i minimized after 2 min in thumbnail its still 20% but when i maximize it 46%. so its not live na. it just showing the last captured screen like vista.
plz report.

im having some problem i don't see those options shows above i only get the taskbar button and in there it doesn't say anything about combine or anything like that can i get some help

Hey VG... I am getting really strange results when I selected "Never Combine" opting under "Taskbar Properties"... The icon and text both are missing... just the blank transparent bar indicating the presence of a window.. A picture is worth a thousand words:
