VG, the link to the DOS version is incorrect (it’s a duplicate of the 32-bit Windows version link). The correct URL for the DOS version is hwinfo.com/download.html.
Very nice program indeed. Where I work, we have a lot of old computers floating around for which we’ve long since lost the driver discs, and when we refurbish them by reformatting and reinstalling Windows, it’s always a guessing game as to the hardware involved. This is gonna go a long way towards taking care of those problems!
Is this program is similar to Lavalys Everest Ultimate Edition?
good program,but i like cpu-z 😀 and nice PC 😀 (or laptop :p )
^^ Yeah. CPU-Z is also good. Regarding system, its Dell XPS laptop. 😉
what about dxdiag.exe ? (you know, you type it in the Start Menu’s search)
^^ Its a basic applications bundled with Windows. HWiNFO is better than it.
CPU-Z tell you only about CPU, GPU-Z only about GPU, etc..
Everest is not freeware (and no longer maintained).
HWiNFO tells you everything + system monitoring.. And it’s completely free.
