I've spent days trying everything. i have downloaded every registry fix to no avail. I am running Vista 64 bit premium home edition. Oddly enough I only have this issue when i log in as the administrator. The other standard log-in profiles do not have this issue. HELP!!!

^^ Try to login as administrator and then rename the folder. Or take ownership of the folder and then try to rename.

I need help. I have the same problem where I can't rename a new folder, except I don't get an error message. Nothing happens, no change in the name and no error message. I have tried this fix and many others from different blogs, and none has worked.

Please help. I am running Vista 32 bit.

I have the same problem on a Windows Server 2008 x64, but the REG didn't solve it. Any other idee?
