Are you a Movie lover and download or purchase movies frequently? Many times you must have faced a problem when you downloaded a movie in some other language. Now its a bit hard to watch a movie in some other language which your mind can't understand.
The solution is to use Subtitles. You can watch movies in other languages with subtitles in English or your own language. In that way you can understand the movie.
But the main problem occurs where to get these subtitles? Many times we waste a lot of time in searching for the subtitles for a particular movie.
So here is the solution which will make your life easier. If you are using a Codec pack like K-Lite codec pack then you must have used "Media Player Classic" which comes bundled with most of the popular codec packs. We'll use the same Media Player Classic in this tutorial. You can download K-Lite Codec pack from here or download stand-alone version of Media Player Classic from here.
1. Open Media Player Classic and open your desired movie.
2. Now goto "File -> Subtitle database -> Download".
3. It'll automatic search for the subtitles and will show you a list of all subtitles available for that movie.
4. Just select the desired subtitles and use it.
5. You can use the Subtitle database URL with any other URL if you want. Goto "View -> Options". Click on "Subtitles -> Database" and change the URL in right-side pane with any other URL. Click on "Test" button to check whether its valid URL or not.
6. Thats it. Now you can easily download Subtitles for any movie using Media Player Classic.

How to make the subtitle permanently in the movie?
VG
^^ Save the subtitle from "File -> Save subtitle" option. Give it same name as the movie file name.

Step 1: Open MPC, press “O” - you will get options window
MPC 1
Step 2: Find Playback -> Output, change settings to VMR9 (renderless) or VMR7 (renderless) - if you will not change this, Download will be disabled!
MPC 2
Step 3: In options window set in Subtitles -> Database: “www.opensubtitles.org/isdb”, you can test it if you want
MPC 2_1
Step 4: Open some movie (drag and drop, CTRL+O), and click File-> Subtitle Database -> Download
MPC 3
Step 5: Select some subtitle in your language, click to Download & Open
MPC 4
Congratulations - you are watching movie with subtitles!

If no subtitles are available - don’t panic, go to File -> Subtitle Database -> Search - browser will open and maybe it finds something
If this step fails too, you have to search those subtitles manually - if they exists on website it means they are not connected with your movie, so it should be nice, if you upload them again.
Maybe you ask how this works - basically it is simple - every movie is connected to subtitle using special hashes (not filenames!). You can help other people, if you will upload subtitles with movie hashes, so other will be able to download them “in fast way”. For the moment it is not possible (and maybe I will never allow this, because I’m afraid there will be many mistakes in uploads) upload subtitles using MPC. For uploading - and for other cool things - you have to use OSCAR or SubDownloader

i can only find polish or danish subs, no english subs (let alone dutch subs), using the download-option from MPC
when i look for them on opensubtitles.org, there are english subs, how is this possible / fixable?
i hope there's a method for it, otherwise i would find this a sucky feature..
VG
^^ Thats strange. For me it shows all available subtitles in the list including English as well.
