VG Do you have other solutions? I done it many many times but still I can't remove the menu bar. Please.. Help me! I want to remove that bulls**t menu bar! Please help me! Thank you very much in advanced.!

The menubar remains even after I, remove the check, from the Layout Menu.

And for Methods A and B, that option, isn't even there...

For method A, the two options there are, Open in it's own window(1) and new window(2)

For Method B, the option in place of 'Show preview and filters in folders', the option I have is, 'Save taskbar thumbnail previews'

I'd appreciate if you had registry commands to disable the Menu bar

I tried Qttbar then removed it, but all of this didnt help, oh well... format I guess

Yep. Sometimes 3rd party toolbar also cause this problem. Thanks for posting it.

I had the same problem as most of the other people.
The solution on this site didn't help for me.
I had recently removed norton but it didn't get removed properly.
When I right clicked on the menu bar and unchecked show norton toolbar the menubar dissapeared. This may not be the solution to evry1 but it may help a few people.

My Show preview and filters in folder is already enabled! what should i do ? even disabling it then clicking it again doesn't help

i have the problem where i cannot hide my menu bar in win explorer in vista i tried out the sollution posted in this site but it doesn't work give me any other solution by which i could get rid of this menu bar
