Yesterday I told you how to delete your unused GMail account. Today I'm going to tell you the same thing for Windows Live accounts.
Do you want to delete your exiting MSN, Hotmail or any other Windows Live account? Do you have some unused Windows Live IDs which you no longer use and want to get rid of them? Do you get lots of spam mails in your Windows Live Mail account and want to delete it permanently?
I'm sure there are many ppl who face such problems and want to completely remove their Windows Live IDs for obvious reasons. If you are one of those, then do you know you can do it. Yes. You heard it right. Microsoft provides a way to delete your MSN, Hotmail or other Windows Live accounts. Just follow these steps:
1. Open following link:
Delete MSN, Hotmail or other Windows Live Account
2. Enter your mail ID and password and it'll show following page:
3. Click on "Close account" button.
4. Your account will be reserved for 270 days so that if you want to re-activate it, you can do within 270 days. After 270 days it'll be deleted permanently and you'll not be able to re-activate it.

ii spent hours trying to delete my accounts. and YU R A LIFE SAVER! WOW II SPENT LIKE 2 HOURS TRYING TO FIND A WAY TO DELTE IT AND WITH YU IT ONLY TOOK A SECOND.. THANKS VERY MUCH. the only thing that bothers me is that the account I couldnt delete was the microsoft email and that one is the One that had the way to delete my account. thanks very much =)

If I start the delete hotmail account process.... will incoming emails be notified and return to them while it is processing?? or will it do that until after the given days??

^^ Your account will remain active till 120 days. After that it'll get deleted and all incoming mails will be bounced back to sender.

Fred, to remove the information permanently from IE, go to Start ==>> run ==>> 'control userpasswords2' ==>> Advanced ==>> Manage passwords and remove your account. This doesn't 'remove' it, it stops windows from remembering it. If it keeps happening over and over, don't save your password in MSN/Live Messenger.
